Sharing a review link

How the zero-login client review link works, and how clients leave feedback.

The review link is the heart of Prelap. It lets a client review a cut without creating an account, installing anything, or learning a portal.

What the client sees

The client opens the link to a clean player. They can watch, scrub, and leave feedback in whatever way suits them, typing a note, pinning it to a timestamp, recording a voice note, or drawing on a frame. Nothing is required beyond clicking the link.

How feedback becomes a checklist

Voice notes are transcribed, and all feedback is parsed into discrete, timestamped tasks. Vague references like 'near the start' are mapped to approximate timecodes so every note has a place on the timeline.

Languages

Clients can type or talk in their own language, or mix it with English the way they do on WhatsApp. Tested end to end: Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, Bengali, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Turkish and Indonesian. Most other major languages work too. Nothing to set up: the language is detected from each note.

  • The transcript keeps the client's own words, never a translation. Urdu voice notes are understood like any other language. Speech models write spoken Urdu in Hindi (Devanagari) script, so in your workspace the transcript has a Show in switch: one click on Urdu or Roman shows it in Urdu script or Roman Urdu, and Original switches back. The original voice note is always there to play.
  • The checklist is always in clear English. Names and the exact words for on-screen text (a caption or a title) stay as the client gave them.
  • Times said in any language count: 'ایک منٹ پندرہ سیکنڈ' pins the item to 1:15, 'minuto dos con diez' to 2:10.

Editing windows

Clients can edit or delete their own notes until you start working on the round. Once the round is in progress, notes lock so the checklist you're working from doesn't shift under you.
