How does storage-metered pricing work?
Projects are unlimited on every plan. The thing we meter is storage, because video is the real cost. Pick the tier whose storage fits your workload, and add more storage anytime without changing plans.
Do my clients need to pay or sign up?
Never. Clients review through a zero-login link, no account, no seat, no cost. Reviewer seats are always free, on every plan including Free.
Why is Prelap cheaper than Frame.io for teams?
We host video on Cloudflare R2, which has zero egress fees, so delivering video costs us almost nothing. We pass that on as flat, per-workspace pricing instead of charging per seat.
What do the transcription minutes count?
Only the length of client voice notes that Prelap transcribes. A 2-minute voice note uses 2 minutes. Uploading videos, the length of your cut, typed notes and drawings never use transcription minutes. The Free plan includes 60 minutes a month, Solo 300 and Agency 2,500.
What counts as an AI checklist build?
Each AI run counts once: turning a batch of new client notes into checklist items, a message to Cue (the studio assistant), an AI summary or what-changed recap, a client asking AI to rewrite their note on the review page, and viewing a voice note's transcript in Urdu script or Roman Urdu (once per note and script). Playback, sharing and exporting markers never count, and uploads only count toward storage.
When do the AI allowances reset?
On the 1st of every month (UTC), for monthly and annual plans alike. Storage is different: it is a ceiling, not a monthly allowance, so it never resets. Deleting files or emptying Trash frees it up.
Is there annual billing?
Yes. Paying yearly costs 2 months less: Solo is $190/yr instead of $228, Agency $790/yr instead of $948. You choose monthly or annual when you upgrade inside the app.
What happens when I hit a limit?
We warn you as you approach a storage or AI limit. At the limit, new uploads that don't fit are blocked and AI processing of new notes pauses until you upgrade, add storage or the monthly allowance resets. Your existing work, review links and client notes stay accessible.
Can I start without a credit card?
Yes. The Free plan needs no card, and new workspaces get a 14-day trial of Solo features to run a real revision round with a client first.
