Chasing feedback across chats, emails and voice notes

Bring together voice notes, client texts, and forwarded emails. Prelap organizes them into timestamped revision tasks. No portal, no client login, no extra process for reviewers.

The revision loop

Keep every review note easy to act on

Three moves replace scattered review notes, re-watching, and the "wait, which version?" moment without asking clients to learn another tool.

01

One link, no portal

Your client gets an unguessable review link. They can record a voice note, type a quick comment, or forward an email from the device they already use. No login, no training.

02

Every note, timestamped

The AI listens to every voice note and reads every text, then pins each request to an exact timecode sorted by category, ready to work.

03

Tick, deliver, approve

Work the checklist with scope-creep warnings on new requests. Tick items off, push a new version, collect a one-tap approval.

The product film

See the full review flow in one minute

Watch one review round, start to finish: feedback arrives, the checklist builds itself, revisions get handled, and approval stays simple for the client.

Most review tools add one more portal to the process. Prelap keeps the client experience simple and organizes the review notes for the editor automatically.

Why I built this
“I’ve run a video editing agency for the last five years. The hard part was keeping every review note connected to the right version, timecode, and next action. So I built the tool I wished existed: send the client a link, get a clean, timestamped checklist back.”

Questions editors ask

Before you send your first link

How do clients leave feedback without creating an account?

Every version gets an unguessable review link. Your client opens it on any device and can type a note, record a voice note, or draw on a frame no sign-up, no password, nothing to install. Everything they add lands in your workspace, organized by timecode.

Does it work with WhatsApp-style voice notes?

Yes that's a core workflow. Clients can record voice notes directly on the review link, and you can also paste texts or forwarded emails. The AI transcribes everything and turns it into a timestamped revision checklist.

Is this a Frame.io alternative?

It solves the same review problem with a lighter client experience. Prelap does not require reviewers to create an account or learn a portal: they can leave voice notes, comments, and frame notes from a simple review link. Reviewer seats are free on every plan.

Can I export the revision notes into my editing software?

Yes. One click exports markers for DaVinci Resolve (CSV), Final Cut Pro (FCPXML), Premiere Pro (XML), or a universal EDL at your project's exact frame rate plus CSV and PDF checklists for humans.

What happens when a client asks for something outside the original scope?

The AI can label it as a New Request, separate from fixes to existing work. That gives you a clear, respectful way to discuss extra rounds or added scope.

How much does it cost?

Every plan has unlimited projects the Free plan gives you 10 GB of storage to run the loop with a real client. Solo Editor is $19/month, Production Agency is $79/month and every new workspace starts with a 14-day Solo trial, no credit card needed.
